Rentals for tourism have increased significantly since 2018, especially in Part Alta, the Móra-Tamarit and the Barris Marítims. In the first two cases, the number of tourist homes in the district represents more than 12% of the total number of homes registered in the land registry. As for the Part Baixa and Serrallo (fishermen’s district), this percentage is almost 9%. These levels are significantly higher than the urban average, which is 2.79%, taking into account that in some places in Tarragona their presence is practically negligible.
